Picture this: one set of waves comes from one direction, pushed by a changing wind pattern. Another set comes from a different direction, perhaps from a distant storm or shifting tides. When these two wave patterns intersect, they create a grid-like pattern on the water’s surface.

But here’s the part that isn’t shared nearly enough: cross seas are extremely dangerous.
