Like many of you, I’ve fallen down the rabbit hole of “life hack” videos. So when I saw someone stabbing dull scissors into a bowl of granulated sugar like they were exorcising demons, I paused.
Could sugar really sharpen scissors?
I’ve tried other viral “sharpening” methods before. Cutting aluminum foil? Nope. Cutting sandpaper? Slightly effective, but messy. Cutting steel wool? Just made a mess. I was skeptical.
